3The cash represents a PTBNL or cash considerations
This is an interesting possibility. Susac would fill a huge need in the Rays system (although Keegan is looking good too), and Anderson would be a plug and play starter in next year's rotation... once he has recovered from TJS that is. The Rays will have 3 starting pitchers on the offseason IL recovering from major surgery who won't pitch before the ASB next year. I don't think they would be interested in adding a 4th, unless they feel the value here is too good to pass up. Personally, I don't think the Rays will have any difficulty moving Glasnow for a really good package of players with at least some immediate contributors, but this trade idea has merit. Anderson has proven he can be a great pitcher, and Susac is definitely a good catching prospect.
While I'm opposed to the A's doing anymore deals with the Braves, swapping Susac for Grissom is interesting. Kingham as the +1 doesn't work; he's a Rule 5 guy at best.
