O'Neil"s stats over the past 28 days are actually quite encouraging and with the development of Marsh after being dealt here there's no reason to rule that out happening for O'Neil who in my opinion offers way more upside and would literally be perfect if he ends up swinging it the way he did a couple of years ago and with so few sellers youre going to have to think outside the box a little bit which this doesnt fit that mold on the surface but a deep dive shows he might actually be the right choice. Cardinals dont need O'Neil they get prospects one that is for sure ready right now. Still prefer Grichuk but I wouldn't trade a ball of cat hair for Canha or Pham or even both for just the cat hair, I think moves like Pham and Canha are unnecessary and really provide a true upgrade. Young guys like Pache and Rojas getting at bats against lefties in that spot could be more beneficial than acquiring a below average defender and not great offensive player in Pham or a complete no show with the bat and okay in the field Mark Canha.
