5Anderson, though a good prospect, does not fill a need the Indians would need in a Lindor trade since starting pitching is a strength for Cleveland.
This is a public site Nate. I will comment as I see fit. My thoughts and opinions are allowed just as your whiny comments are.
My only reason for including Swanson in this deal was that I had heard rumors that the Indians wanted a starting shortstop in return in the deal. Other than that what do people expect the Indians want in return? Pitchers v hitters (specific positions?) and do you think they're looking for prospects or CHEAP young minor leaguers? Lindor being available suggests they are re-tooling and shedding salary without doing a full rebuild.
You had a solid proposal TommyL31 but as you found out, a trade for Lindor is a tough sell. But, if it's any consolation, your proposal was much better then most proposals for Lindor including one I made.
If there's a Francisco Lindor trade, we know hockeyjohn will be on it. And I'd bet you almost anything that a rather significant controllable arm goes back to Cleveland in any Lindor trade. They know that what they have will likely regress.
