I like the boldness but it's an easy Thumb Down. You can't have the Mets give up the two best players AND get less total value. You can't bulk buy your way there... you need to include Gore.
The only way Mets do this is if they are trying to rebuild. Which they have shown no signs of so I see this rather unlikely.
