You ain’t messing around today. I like it. I don’t think it’ll ever happen, but I like it.

Like you, if I'm trading McClanahan, I'm getting full value. 3 years of an ace doesn't come to the market often. I assume that the Cardinals are moving on from Goldschmidt. For their 3 best prospects, they just added 7-10 wins per year to their team with barely any money committed. With Mozeliak likely fighting for his job, this puts them in an excellent position to make the post season next year and beyond.

Thank you, no. You might get Walker in a trade, but Wetherholt & Mathews are 2 Bridges Too Far.

Cool. Enjoy 80 wins, and we'll trade 3 years of baseball's best LH SP and a 2 years of a 1B who got MVP votes last year to someone else.

Fencer - Are you a Cardinals fan? If so, what’s the general expectation among Cardinal fans with the management shake up? Outside looking in, it seems like the Cardinals have created a 2 headed monster swimming in opposite directions. Assuming Bloom is really in charge though, I suspect the Cardinals are looking at a total rebuild “Rays-Style” (ie: 3-5 seasons of 70-80 win games while the team is totally rebuilt). Rays execs don’t believe in dumpster fire tear downs. They like to remain somewhat competitive throughout the process.
